Blueprint Architects was established as a joint-venture company owned equally by KMH Architects and Jonker & Barnes Architects. The objective of forming the company was to transform KMH Architects and empower Jonker & Barnes Architects. After two decades of successful trading, Blueprint Architects has now achieved both objectives.
Jonker & Barnes Architects ceased trading on 31 May 2018 when Ivan Jonker and Alwyn Barnes made the decision to retire. At this time KMH Architects purchased the shares Jonker & Barnes Architects held in Blueprint Architects.
KMH Architects has steadily improved its B-BBEE score-card and simultaneously grown its turnover. On 30 April 2019 KMH achieved a verified Level 2 assessed in the Generic category per the new Construction Sector codes. As KMH Architects certificate now surpasses Blueprint Architects expired B-BBEE Affidavit Level 2, KMH Architects transformation objective has been achieved.
We are very excited to announce that as from 01 June 2019 the staff and projects of Blueprint Architects will be incorporated into KMH Architects. Blueprint Architects will cease trading at the end of its financial year on 31 May 2019.
The new KMH team consists of 60 talented people led by six partners across three offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth.
